Towing Survey (Towing Survey of Ships Without Self-Propulsion) |

For carriage of large-scale structures such as (a) plant components, (b) modules, (c) container cranes, (d) girders and other members of bridges, etc., on a ship without self -propulsion (such as a barge, etc.), after NKKK carefully estimates and calculates feasibility in the expected circumstances based on (i) ship’s movements expected, (ii) accelerations to be received, (iii) strength of tow system, (iv) strength of decks, (v) proper lashing and securing strengths required, (vi) ship’s stability to be maintained, (vii) towing ability, (viii) disposition of towing ships, etc., NKKK then attends at the loading place, inspects the various necessary conditions, and finally issues a survey report as promptly as practicable. |
