Inspection of Quality, etc., for Raw Materials
(Iron & Steel Products / Non-Ferrous Materials) In Bulk

 For (a) raw materials of iron and steel products, (b) iron and steel products, (c) ferroalloys, (d) ferrous or nonferrous ingots, (e) nonferrous materials, (f) ferrous or nonferrous ore, etc., NKKK carries out inspections and analyses of the quality, amount of impurities, etc., by (i) systematic sampling of various ranges of commodities in accordance with accepted statistical methods, (ii) necessary preparations of the samples, and (iii) physical tests and/or chemical analysis.

 Besides, for contribution to industrial society, NKKK participates in (i) Japanese Committees for “ISO/TC102 (Iron Ore and Direct Reduced Iron)”, “ISO/TC132 (Ferroalloys)” and “ISO/TC183 (Copper, Lead, Zinc and Nickel Ore and Concentrates)”, and (ii) the Japanese Industrial Standard for establishment and revision of its standards.

Inspection regarding Grading, etc. for Recycling Materials

 NKKK carries out (a) grading of recycling materials such as steel scraps, etc. and (b) checking for foreign matter, as well as, if necessary, (c) weight certification, (d) draft survey, and (e) measurement of gamma ray radiation level.

 Beside, for export of recycling materials to a country with import restrictions and/or standards, NKKK offers a pre-shipment inspection in compliance therewith.

Certification of Quantity of Stock

 NKKK certifies remaining quantities of raw materials in order to determine quantity of stock by (a) actual measuring method as well as (b) three-dimensional photographic measuring method.

(*) The “three-dimensional photographic measuring method” is a more accurate method than “the actual measuring method”. Our NKKK specialized inspectors measure the stock using a special camera and analyze their coordinates.
